About Colorado Mesa University Alpine Ski Team
CMU Alpine gives student racers a collegiate team environment on the Western Slope. The program fields men’s and women’s lineups through the USCSA Rocky Mountain Conference, with Powderhorn Mountain Resort as its closest mountain. Athletes compete in slalom and giant slalom and travel across Colorado for conference events.
The team returned to the USCSA National Championships in 2026 after qualifying through its regional season. CMU Athletics maintains the program’s official team page and roster, while student leaders represent the Mavericks within USCSA. The program is built for CMU students who arrive with alpine racing experience and want to keep training and competing as part of a close team.
