About Colorado School of Mines Club Ski Team

The Mines Club Ski Team gives Orediggers a competitive alpine season without the structure of an NCAA varsity program. Undergraduate and graduate students race in the USCSA Rocky Mountain Conference from January through March, with athletes covering the program through dues and fundraising for lift tickets, lanes, entries, lodging, and travel.

Recent results show a club with national ambitions. Both the men’s and women’s teams placed third in their conference in 2025, and the men returned to USCSA Nationals for the first time in a decade. They qualified again in 2026 after placing fifth at the Western regional meet in slalom and giant slalom. Student officers manage a growing roster while balancing training and travel with Mines academics.
