Freerider’s Union of Colorado College

The Freerider’s Union of Colorado College—FUCC—is the broad social home for skiing and snowboarding at CC. It is student run and intentionally recreational, organizing events both on campus and in the mountains so the wider college community can participate. The group also points students toward discounted Ikon and Epic pass options.

Its scale sets FUCC apart from a typical college trip club: a 2025 campus newspaper profile reported 838 members, roughly 40 percent of the undergraduate population at the time. Past traditions have included a campus rail jam built with hauled-in snow, rails, and boxes. The result is less a race team than a connective layer across CC’s substantial population of resort skiers, snowboarders, and mountain-minded students.
