About Boulder Skimo Club
Boulder Skimo Club began in 2022 when Italian-born endurance athlete and coach Davide Giardini set out to build a local home for European-style fast-and-light ski touring. The club now connects hundreds of Front Range tourers through training, education, a Discord community, gear resources, and advocacy for responsible uphill access. Its calendar starts before the snow with ski-specific strength sessions and vertical-kilometer events.
The youth program, run with Eldora Mountain Ski & Snowboard Club, gives ages 12–19 a controlled introduction to skinning, transitions, endurance, and skimo racing. Practices take place twice weekly after school at Eldora, with blue-run skiing ability required. Adult members can also find clinics, private coaching, demonstrations, and a practical video series that lowers the sport's technical barriers.
