Colorado Biathlon Club

Colorado Biathlon Club operates primarily at the Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center near Granby, where members combine cross-country skiing with precision shooting on a dedicated range. Participation is structured around safety: using a .22 rifle requires U.S. Biathlon safety certification, current national and club memberships, and a waiver. Newer athletes can use air rifles and targets at race events before completing the full firearm pathway.

The club publishes event schedules, course loops, race formats, results, marksmanship resources, and training for officials and volunteers. Races accommodate different ages and experience levels, while special clinics and the Joanne Reid Women's Biathlon Festival broaden entry into the sport. It is both a competition organizer and the practical steward of Colorado's most established community biathlon venue.
