Grand Nordic Ski Club

Grand Nordic Ski Club formed in 1993 by combining Fraser Valley Nordic with other local groups to serve skiers across Grand County. Rather than owning one trail network, the club works through Snow Mountain Ranch, Granby Ranch, Grand Lake Nordic Center, schools, recreation departments, and other partners. Its race and event calendar includes relays, skate races, the Stampede, and the Ranch2Ranch trek.

Education is a major part of its identity. Members can take free beginner-through-advanced classic and skate lessons, while elementary-school Nordic Rocks programs and Friday youth sessions put children on skis with equipment and trail access supplied through partners. Grand Nordic Gliders gives third- through fifth-graders a low-cost season of classic, skate, games, and exploration without requiring race experience.
