About Gray Wolf Ski Club

Gray Wolf Ski Club is a Pagosa Springs social organization for adults over 50, centered on days at Wolf Creek Ski Area and life in the San Juan community. A 2024 club newsletter reported 1,291 members, making it much larger than the typical local ski club. Membership includes scheduled winter lunches in Wolf Creek’s main lodge, with the club subsidizing part of each meal, as well as access to participating local-business discounts.

The club’s season-pass benefit now depends on Wolf Creek’s age and renewal rules: discounts continue for qualifying members age 65 and older and for certain members grandfathered under the ski area’s 2023 policy. That administrative detail matters, but the club’s real character is social—mountain gatherings, lunches, happy hours, and year-round events that help older residents and seasonal skiers stay connected.
