About OUT on the Slopes

OUT on the Slopes is a Denver Meetup for LGBTQ+ skiers and snowboarders and allies who support an inclusive mountain community. The group schedules day outings at Front Range-accessible resorts, including Copper, Breckenridge, and Vail, while preseason happy hours and occasional dinners help members make connections before winter. Its public group has grown to more than 600 members.

Events identify the intended ability range so participants can choose a suitable day and form groups on terrain they are comfortable skiing or riding. Hosts may coordinate intermediate and advanced groups, but the organization is clear that it does not provide instruction; beginners should not assume a lesson or dedicated guide will be available. The format is social and peer-led, built around showing up, skiing together, and expanding an LGBTQ+ outdoor circle.
