About Pagosa Nordic Club
Pagosa Nordic Club is a fully volunteer organization that grooms free classic and skate skiing around Pagosa Springs in coordination with the Forest Service, private landowners, and local partners. From as many as five trailheads, its crews can maintain up to 60 kilometers. Coyote Hill alone offers graduated beginner, intermediate, and advanced loops with views toward Pagosa Peak; other routes shift as snow, flooding, logging, and land access allow.
Memberships from more than 450 supporters fund fuel, equipment, trail supplies, and events. The race calendar has a distinctly local personality: the Cabin Fever races contribute to the Southwest Nordic Race Series, while the Red Ryder event pairs skiing with BB-gun target shooting. Nordic Pulse maps and detailed groomer notes help skiers follow a network that changes with conditions.
