About Schussbaumer Ski Club

Schussbaumer Ski Club is a private outdoor and social club whose defining asset is its member chalet in Breckenridge. The present building was completed in 1965 and later expanded to roughly 6,000 square feet. It sits near the Four O’Clock Run and the route to Peak 8, a short walk from Main Street, with resort buses stopping outside. Inside are 18 dormitory-style bedrooms, communal living rooms, a large kitchen, fireplaces, and a member bar with beer on tap.

Typical ski weekends bring a smaller group than the chalet’s maximum capacity, encouraging a shared-house atmosphere rather than a hotel experience. The club also organizes year-round activities and social events around Colorado. Membership includes a background-screening process, and the club currently says its waiting list is full and new applications are closed.
