About Summit 50 Plus
Summit 50 Plus is a Frisco-based community organization for adults who want to stay active and connected in Summit County. Formerly Summit Seniors, the group adopted its current name in 2023 after more than 40 years serving older residents and visitors. Standard membership is open to people 50 and older, while supporters under 50 can also join. Its calendar spans recreation, education, trips, health programs, volunteering, and social gatherings.
Winter programming gives the organization a clear place in Colorado’s ski-club landscape. The alpine group meets weekly at Breckenridge and Keystone during the core season, gathering in the morning and reconvening for lunch. A separate cross-country group plans local outings of varying distance and difficulty. Summit 50 Plus also runs annual Winter Games with alpine, uphill, ice, and Nordic events, creating both regular social skiing and friendly competition.
