Thera-ski Bus

For more than four decades, Thera-ski Bus has given women a midweek route from Denver to the slopes: ten Wednesday motor-coach trips, two pickup points, no required ability level, and a sponsor-based membership culture.

About Thera-ski Bus

Thera-ski Bus is a women-only ski transportation community that has operated for more than 40 years. Its season consists of ten Wednesday trips from early January through mid-March, usually heading to Vail when weather and traffic cooperate. A chartered motor coach leaves from Cherry Hills Village and the Woolly Mammoth lot, then departs the mountain in mid-afternoon. If conditions prevent crossing Vail Pass, the driver and organizers may divert to Keystone or Breckenridge.

There is no required ski level, and snowboarders are welcome; snowshoers are asked to come with companions. Members arrange their own passes, gear, activity plans, and on-mountain safety. New participants need sponsorship from a current member, reinforcing the group’s social accountability. A fall coffee gathering and the shared bus ride turn transportation into the club’s main community space.
