Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center

Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center has built adaptive outdoor programs since 1976. Its winter school provides personalized alpine skiing and snowboarding at Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin for participants over age four, from first-timers through experts. Lessons follow PSIA/AASI practices and cover visual guiding, three- and four-track skiing, mono-skiing, bi-skiing, snowboarding, and other adaptations.

A standard lesson includes one-to-one instruction, on-hill support, specialized equipment, and the participant’s lift ticket. BOEC also runs stand-up and sit-down Nordic lessons at the Breckenridge and Frisco Nordic centers, along with multi-day camps, custom programs for schools and agencies, and military-family retreats. More than 300 winter volunteers support the professional staff across the four resort locations.
