About Challenge Aspen
Challenge Aspen offers two distinct ways to get on snow at Aspen Snowmass. Private lessons pair participants with an Aspen Skiing Company instructor holding adaptive PSIA credentials and include the necessary rental or adaptive equipment and lift access. Experienced skiers and riders who need accommodation rather than technical instruction can book a trained volunteer buddy to help with terrain choice and mountain navigation.
The program also reaches beyond vacation lessons. A partnership with Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club places trained buddies with local adaptive athletes so they can train and compete alongside peers at no cost to their families. Challenge Aspen Military Opportunities runs cost-free, multi-day retreats for veterans with VA disability ratings, including introductory snowsports sessions, lodging, meals, transportation, equipment, and lift tickets.
